
Stephen W. Blann, CPA, CGFM, has served as the contracted Finance Director for the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi in Athens, Michigan, since 2002. He began his career in public accounting in 1995 by joining the regional CPA firm Rehmann Robson, where he is now the Principal in charge of the firm’s governmental practice in West Michigan. Over the past decade, Stephen has been involved in virtually every area of tribal finance, serving at various times as the independent auditor, external consultant, internal auditor, and contracted finance director of four different Michigan tribes.
Stephen is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and a frequent speaker for a variety of professional organizations, including the national Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA), the Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards (MACMHB), the Association of Governmental Accountants (AGA), and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). He has served for six years as an advisor to the GFOA's Standing Committee on Accounting Auditing and Financial Reporting, and for four years as a board member for the Greater Lansing Chapter of the AGA.
Stephen has a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration
from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is a licensed CPA in the
State of Michigan. He currently lives in East Grand Rapids,
Michigan.

Alison joined the Tribal Finance Department in 2006, and was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2010.
I have enjoyed spending another year as your Accounting Manager. The changes that have occurred and will continue to happen are exciting to watch and I look forward to being a part of these experiences.
I grew up in Suttons Bay, earned my BS in Biology from Alma College in 1994, added my Accounting degree in 2001, and finished by MBA in 2009 with the University of Phoenix. Now I am looking forward to where my next educational endeavor will lead me.
My husband David and I welcomed our son Michael this past spring. I also have two step-sons. I enjoy sports and other hobbies including cross-stitching, reading, playing my piano and singing. I love to travel and hope to do more of it when time allows.

My name is Larysa Hill and I currently work as the Accounting Clerk for the Finance Department at the Administration Office of NHBP.
Originally, I am from the Ukraine, I relocated to the USA in 2000. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering while in the Ukraine.
I started my new career in the accounting field when I moved to the states. I further studied Accounting at Kellogg Community College.
I live in Portage with my husband, Kim. We enjoy spending time traveling and I also like gardening and reading.
I am very excited to be a part of your team and I look forward to contributing to the growth and progress of NHBP.
